Routific vs OptimoRoute
Both plan a whole fleet around time windows. Routific bills by the order and OptimoRoute by the driver, so which one is cheaper depends on your numbers.

The short answer
Routific is the better buy for most small delivery teams; OptimoRoute is better for 1 to 3 busy drivers and for scheduling technicians ahead. As of October 2026, Routific is free up to 100 orders a month, then $150 a month up to 1,000, with unlimited drivers. OptimoRoute has no free plan (a 30-day trial), then $39 or $49 per driver a month, or $35.10 and $44.10 billed yearly. Routific plans with historical traffic; OptimoRoute doesn't use traffic. EZRoutePlanner suits teams without time windows.
Choose Routific if
- you deliver fewer than 100 orders a month and want the whole toolkit free
- you have 4 or more drivers and up to about 1,000 orders a month, where $150 covers everyone
- you want proof of delivery, live tracking and ETA emails without moving up a tier
- your orders come from Shopify or Zapier, or you want traffic in the plan
Choose OptimoRoute if
- you run 1 to 3 drivers past 100 orders a month ($39 to $117 on Lite)
- each driver handles a lot of orders, so a per-driver price beats a per-order one
- you schedule technicians days or weeks ahead, with job lengths and skills
- you want routes exported to Garmin, TomTom or Navigon units in the cab
Choose EZRoutePlanner if
- your customers don't book time windows, and the shortest drive is the goal
- you want a free plan for up to 30 saved addresses
- you'd rather pay for your customer list than for each order or driver
- drivers should get a link, not an app and a login
01
Routific charges per order, OptimoRoute per driver: what that means
This is the real difference between them. Both plan many drivers at once around time windows, both send routes to a driver app, and both track drivers live. What changes the bill is what each one counts.
Routific counts orders. Up to 100 a month is free. From 101 to 1,000 it's a flat $150 a month, then 15¢ an order from 1,001 to 2,000, falling in steps to 3¢ at very high volume. An order counts once, when it's scheduled to a route; re-optimizing is free and unscheduled orders aren't counted. Drivers and dispatchers are unlimited, so a part-time driver adds nothing.
OptimoRoute counts drivers. Lite is $39 per driver a month and Pro $49, or $35.10 and $44.10 billed yearly. You pay for each driver you plan routes for in a month, however many orders they carry. Daily volume isn't capped; Lite plans up to 700 orders at once and Pro up to 1,000.
Two rules of thumb follow:
- With 1 to 3 drivers, OptimoRoute is cheaper once you pass Routific's 100 free orders: $39 to $117 a month on Lite, or $49 to $147 on Pro, against Routific's $150.
- With 4 or more drivers, Routific is cheaper until volume gets high. Past 1,000 orders, each extra order costs 15¢ on Routific, while each driver costs $39 on OptimoRoute Lite. Routific stays cheaper until drivers average roughly 260 orders a month each, about 12 a working day. Busier drivers than that tip it to OptimoRoute.

Routific vs OptimoRoute cost for 2, 5 and 10 drivers
Monthly list prices as of October 2026 for the same team on each, with OptimoRoute's yearly price in brackets. Routific includes proof of delivery on every plan and OptimoRoute only on Pro, so compare Routific with the Pro column if you need it.

| 2 drivers, 90 orders | Routific$0 (Free) | OptimoRoute Lite$78 ($70.20) | OptimoRoute Pro$98 ($88.20) |
| 2 drivers, 1,000 orders | Routific$150 | OptimoRoute Lite$78 ($70.20) | OptimoRoute Pro$98 ($88.20) |
| 5 drivers, 1,000 orders | Routific$150 | OptimoRoute Lite$195 ($175.50) | OptimoRoute Pro$245 ($220.50) |
| 5 drivers, 2,000 orders | Routific$300 | OptimoRoute Lite$195 ($175.50) | OptimoRoute Pro$245 ($220.50) |
| 10 drivers, 2,000 orders | Routific$300 | OptimoRoute Lite$390 ($351) | OptimoRoute Pro$490 ($441) |
| 10 drivers, 5,000 orders | RoutificAbout $630 | OptimoRoute Lite$390 ($351) | OptimoRoute Pro$490 ($441) |
Routific: $150 covers 101 to 1,000 orders; then 15¢ an order to 2,000, 13¢ to 3,000 and 10¢ to 5,000. Its pricing page doesn't say whether each rate applies only within its band; the $630 figure assumes it does. Routific's SMS add-on is extra. OptimoRoute counts each driver you plan for in a month.

Routific's free plan vs OptimoRoute's 30-day trial
Routific has a free plan with no time limit: up to 100 orders a month with every feature except SMS. That includes the driver app, live tracking, ETA emails with a tracking link and proof of delivery, for unlimited drivers and without a credit card. A business delivering about 23 orders a week can stay on it for good.
OptimoRoute has no free plan. Its 30-day trial needs no credit card and includes Pro features, but it stops at 250 orders. That's a week or two of real routes for a small team, so plan the test before the clock starts: import a real day, set your actual time windows and shifts, and send a route to a driver's phone.
One caution on Routific's side: the step from free to paid is steep. Order 101 in a month moves you to $150, the same price as order 1,000.
05
Traffic and constraints: what Routific and OptimoRoute account for
Traffic. Routific builds historical traffic data into its routes and arrival times, and lists predictive time-of-day traffic as coming soon. OptimoRoute's FAQ says it doesn't consider traffic during planning: driving times come from average speeds for each type of road, and live traffic is left to the driver's navigation app. If rush hour reshapes your day, that's a point for Routific.
Constraints. Both cover the rules most fleets need:
- Time windows on every plan, driver shifts and breaks, vehicle capacity, and driver skills (Routific calls them driver tags).
- Splitting the day's orders across all drivers in one optimization, with workload balancing.
Beyond that, OptimoRoute's list also includes job durations, vehicle features, multiple depots and day-of-week rules, plus weekly planning up to 5 weeks ahead on Pro (activated on request). Its Custom plan adds pickup and delivery, multi-day long-haul routes and truck routing. Routific adds soft constraints it can bend when it has to, a best-insert for last-minute orders, and a "draw your route" tool to steer the path.
Scale. Routific handles up to 5,000 orders in one optimization. OptimoRoute plans up to 700 orders at once on Lite and 1,000 on Pro, with thousands on Custom.
06
Routific vs OptimoRoute, feature by feature
Both are web planners with a driver app, so most rows are close. The differences sit in traffic, proof of delivery and customer notifications, and in how orders get in.

Routific and OptimoRoute list prices as of October 2026, billed monthly unless noted. Every-two-weeks customers count as 26 ÷ 12 visits a month. EZRoutePlanner prices are monthly (billing every 6 months takes 25% off), set by the addresses you keep saved; its free plan has unlimited routes but holds one at a time, so teams with several drivers on the road need a paid plan. Drivers cost nothing extra.
08
No time windows? There's a simpler option
Routific and OptimoRoute earn their prices on rules: time windows, capacities, shifts and proof at the door. Plenty of route businesses have none of those. Lawn care, pool service, pest control on regular rounds and a lot of local delivery just need each driver's stops in the shortest order.
For those teams, EZRoutePlanner is worth a look. You plan in a browser, lasso each driver's stops into a route on the map, press Optimize Route, and send the route as a link that opens on the driver's phone with no app. It's priced by the addresses you keep saved, from $20 a month, so ten crews cost the same as two, and visiting a customer every week costs nothing extra. A free plan covers 30 addresses and one route at a time.
The trade-off is real: no time windows, traffic, automatic splitting across drivers, proof of delivery, tracking or customer notifications.

Routific or OptimoRoute: which should you pick?
On features the two are close. Both plan a whole fleet around time windows, shifts and capacity, and both run the day with a driver app and live tracking. Routific includes more on every plan (proof of delivery, ETA emails, historical traffic) and has a real free plan. OptimoRoute goes deeper on scheduling technicians across days and weeks.
On price, count your drivers and your orders. With 1 to 3 drivers, OptimoRoute is cheaper once you pass 100 orders a month. With 4 or more drivers averaging fewer than about 12 orders a day each, Routific is cheaper. With busier drivers than that, OptimoRoute is.

Questions people ask about Routific and OptimoRoute
Is Routific cheaper than OptimoRoute?
It depends on drivers and volume. As of October 2026, Routific costs $150 a month for 101 to 1,000 orders with unlimited drivers, and OptimoRoute costs $39 or $49 per driver a month. With 1 to 3 drivers, OptimoRoute is cheaper past 100 orders. With 4 or more, Routific is cheaper until each driver averages roughly 260 orders a month.
Does OptimoRoute have a free plan like Routific?
No. OptimoRoute offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card, capped at 250 orders, then charges from $35.10 per driver a month billed yearly ($39 monthly). Routific has a free plan with no time limit for up to 100 orders a month, including the driver app, live tracking, ETA emails and proof of delivery.
Do Routific and OptimoRoute use traffic?
Routific does; OptimoRoute doesn't. Routific builds historical traffic into its routes and arrival times, with predictive time-of-day traffic listed as coming soon. OptimoRoute's FAQ says it plans with average speeds for each type of road and doesn't consider traffic, leaving live traffic to the driver's navigation app.
How much do Routific and OptimoRoute cost for 5 drivers?
At 1,000 orders a month, Routific is $150 and OptimoRoute is $195 on Lite or $245 on Pro, billed monthly ($175.50 or $220.50 a month billed yearly). At 2,000 orders, Routific rises to $300 while OptimoRoute stays the same, because it charges per driver rather than per order.
Which is better for field service, Routific or OptimoRoute?
Usually OptimoRoute. It schedules with job durations, technician skills, work hours and breaks, and its Pro plan adds weekly planning up to 5 weeks ahead. Routific is built mainly for local delivery, with Shopify and Zapier integrations and a free plan for small volumes, though it handles driver skills and shifts too.
Do Routific and OptimoRoute include proof of delivery?
Routific includes it on every plan, the free one too: photos, signatures and barcode scans. OptimoRoute includes it on Pro ($49 per driver a month, $44.10 billed yearly), along with customer notifications. Lite has the driver app and live tracking but not proof of delivery.
Do drivers need an app for Routific and OptimoRoute?
Yes, for the full workflow. Routific drivers install the Routific app and sign in; OptimoRoute drivers install OptimoRoute Driver and activate it with a key. Both hand navigation to Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze. OptimoRoute can also email routes or export them to Garmin, TomTom and Navigon units.
Is there a simpler alternative to Routific and OptimoRoute?
If you don't need time windows or proof of delivery, EZRoutePlanner. It plans routes in a browser and sends each driver a link, priced by saved addresses from $20 a month rather than per order or per driver. A lawn company with 900 customers and 10 crews pays $40/mo (Standard).
